Rachael is a senior copywriter at Priory, having joined the company in 2017.
She holds a BSc in Psychology, with specialisms in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology. This academic foundation has given her a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, which she applies to her writing. She also has an MSc in Organisational Psychology, which has further expanded her understanding of workplace behaviour and mental health. Her Master’s thesis focused on burnout and executive stress - issues that are increasingly prevalent in today’s high-pressure working environments.
Prior to joining Priory, Rachael gained experience designing psychometric tests and assessment materials for medical professionals, including trainee psychiatrists. In this role, she worked closely with psychiatrists, conducting focus groups to better understand the unique pressures and scenarios they face. This experience deepened her insight into the psychological challenges encountered by both mental health professionals and those seeking support, enabling her to create content that resonates on both a clinical and human level.
Since joining Priory, Rachael has collaborated closely with leading psychiatrists, therapists and other mental health experts to ensure all content is evidence-based and accurate. Her passion lies in creating resources that help people better understand their mental health and empower them to take positive steps towards recovery.
