About

Angela Marston has been working at Priory for 11 years, providing one-to-one therapy for people experiencing mental health difficulties, more specifically trauma-related issues. Angela is an integrative therapist, holding the values of the person-centred approach. She specialises in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) trauma focused therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma related issues. 'A trauma is a deeply distressing event that overwhelms an individual's ability to cope'. 

EMDR is typically used for trauma whether this is in response to your first panic attack, a car accident or childhood trauma. 
Angela has worked in local GP surgeries and in the hospital providing support and individual therapy for patients with depression, anxiety and bereavement. 

Angela is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and is bound by their professional code of ethics.

As a Psychotherapist and Accredited Registered Member of the BACP, I am trained and qualified in a range of therapeutic models. These include person-centred, solution-focused, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques, EMDR trauma-focused therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and all other related traumas.
