Anna specialises in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and can help clients by using CBT techniques to reduce the symptoms that are maintaining a presenting problem. CBT focuses mainly on the ‘here and now’ but will take into consideration past experiences and significant events.
Position at Priory
Anna has been working at Priory for 6 years. She has undertaken various roles to gain different experience in the healthcare setting. She has been within the therapy department for 3 years, initially as a therapy assistant then trainee CBT therapist and now as a qualified CBT therapist.
Training
Anna gained her Masters CBT degree from Buckinghamshire New University. She completed her placement within Priory, seeing outpatients for one-to-one sessions and running CBT group therapy sessions. She is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and has also completed an undergraduate degree in psychology.
