About
Originally trained in person-centred therapy (PCT), Christie integrates a warm, empathic and non-judgemental presence with acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) skills. She strives to help clients gain an understanding of their problems before enacting meaningful change. For those struggling to voice emotion or process difficult life events, this can mean providing a supportive space to explore and make sense of their experiences. For individuals seeking structure or solutions to specific problems, this can involve skills, techniques and goal orientation to effect change. As such, Christie is motivated to find a comfortable and appropriate level of therapeutic work for all clients, providing a personalised service that helps individuals develop and grow to live a fulfilling life.
