About

Hi there, my name is Danielle,

Are you finding it hard to cope at the moment? Do you wake up with a feeling of dread with no energy for the day ahead? Are you struggling to concentrate, feeling tense and on edge? Maybe you feel more disconnected from others and your relationships are suffering. Has work overshadowed your personal life? Are you suffering with grief and loss? Emotional neglect or domestic abuse?

I am integrative therapist - that means I specialise in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. I have also recently qualified as a clinical supervisor. I have knowledge of many other therapeutic modalities, meaning I can tailor the session to suit your needs best. I also incorporate positive psychology into my practice.

Perhaps you feel stuck and want to change your situation. Gaining insight into what may be driving the behaviours/patterns that are causing problems in your life will provide you with an opportunity to shift your mindset to live a more balanced life and improve the quality of your relationships. I can support you to learn more about yourself and gain a deeper sense of self-awareness.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), with experience working within the NHS and also with individuals experiencing a range of difficulties relating to their emotional and relational wellbeing. I am trained and have experience in a number of specialist psychological models such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, person-centred therapy, attachment theory, transactional analysis (TA), choice theory and trauma-informed approaches.

I have experience of working with people experiencing low mood and depression, panic and anxiety, low-self esteem, grief and loss, and relational difficulties. I offer a confidential and safe space and will work collaboratively with you to find opportunities for improved ways of coping and ways to reduce your distress.

I understand that starting therapy can be dauting, Therapy can be hard at the start, messy in the middle and beautiful at the end, helping you to think clearer and put positive coping mechanisms in place.
