His expertise spans both private practice and clinical settings, including work within the UK’s largest healthcare charity, where he has supported individuals with complex mental health needs.

- Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills | Developed strong skills in active listening, empathy and therapeutic engagement, enhancing his ability to support clients effectively.
- Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling | David developed a comprehensive, integrative skillset, studying CBT, psychodynamic theory, PCT and SFT. This training deepened his understanding of structured, goal-oriented interventions, while also equipping him with a flexible, client-centered approach that allows therapy to be tailored to each individual's unique needs.
- Level 4 Diploma in Couples and Relationship Therapy | Focused on relational dynamics, conflict resolution and communication strategies to support individuals and couples in fostering healthier relationships.
In addition to his formal training, David dedicated every Friday for over 3 and a half years to voluntary work while studying, gaining invaluable hands-on experience supporting individuals through a range of challenges. His commitment to service extended well beyond qualifications, as he continued volunteering for several years, further reinforcing his passion for accessible, client-centred care.
Research interests
David’s research interests focus on the Gut-Brain Axis, exploring the impact of nutrition and exercise on mental health, as well as the neurobiology of trauma - examining how trauma shapes brain function, emotional regulation and overall wellbeing.
He is also expanding his expertise in psychopharmacology and addiction studies, deepening his understanding of human behaviour and the complex interplay between biology, psychology and treatment approaches.
