With over 25 years’ experience being a therapist, I specialise in addiction, co-dependence, and general mental health. I am also a recovering addict, so I bring a wealth of experience, empathy and identification to my role as a clinician. In addition, my foundational role in promoting childhood trauma reduction in the UK, has informed my practice.
Position at Priory
David has worked for, and with Priory for 15 + years as manager of the addiction treatment programme at North London, promoting the use of the Pia Mellody model, trauma reduction programmes, and being instrumental in setting up equine assisted psychotherapy.
He was also fundamental in getting other addiction therapists educated to a professional level.
David helped set up, and continues to refer to, the trauma reduction workshops (Pia Mellody Model).
