Deborah is a highly motivated dietitian with 30 years of experience. She is passionate about the effect that good nutrition can have on physical and mental health, and wellbeing.
Deborah provides practical, dietary advice for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, weight management, gastrointestinal problems and food allergies.
In addition, Deborah is a specialist in eating disorders. She is particularly sensitive and experienced in dietary issues and nutrition education for eating disorders, including other specified feeding or eating disorders (OSFED), anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder (BED) and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). She provides practical support in a friendly, compassionate and effective way.
She is also experienced in working with people on the autism spectrum and people with sensory processing difficulties.
Deborah also has extensive experience of supporting patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colitis, diverticulitis, constipation, bloating, and others. She uses the low FODMAP diet and also a more individual approach, when required. In addition, Deborah provides advice for pre and post-surgery patients and specialises in supporting patients who have regained weight after surgery.
Position at Priory
Deborah has provided a dietetic service to Priory Hospital Ticehurst House for 12 years, where she supports both inpatients and outpatients. She has worked at several other Priory sites over the years.
Deborah provides online appointments for patients from Priory wellbeing centres.
