About
Ian Rogerson Qualified in Medicine in 1991 at Liverpool University Medical School.
He is a Consultant Psychiatrist and has worked in a number of NHS and independent sector roles in adult mental health, including Psychological Medicine, Community Mental Health Teams, Occupational Health, ADHD, Psycho-oncology and currently in Prison Psychiatry.
Ian has special interests in ADHD, PTSD & trauma, psychological aspects of physical health conditions and somatic symptom disorders. He has a medico-legal practice and provides occupational psychiatry clinics to police forces and emergency services.
Ian has held a number of formal teaching and management roles throughout his career, including Undergraduate Tutor, College Tutor, Programme Director, and Director of Medical Education.
The teams he has worked in have been shortlisted for a number of national awards (Health Service Journal and National Business Awards) in 2008, 2010 and 2019.
When not working, he enjoys cycling, sailing, walking the dogs and live music.
Training
Dr Rogerson completed undergraduate training in medicine at Liverpool University Medical School in 1991. He has completed further post-graduate training in medical law at Cardiff Law School in 2009 and in Medical Education at University College London in 2011.
