I have been working as a consultant psychiatrist for the last 13 years and I always aim to provide a high quality service to my patients and carers. I was the clinical tutor for the Black Country Training Scheme and a clinical director at the Dudley and Walsall Mental Health NHS Partnership Trust until I stepped down to focus more on clinical work. I also served as a medical examiner and supervisor with the General Medical Council (GMC) for their fitness to practice proceedings. In addition to clinical and academic work, I am interested in mental health law and I am a specialist medical member of the first tier tribunal, assigned to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber, to exercise the mental health jurisdiction within the chamber.
