Dr Holsgrove has worked as a psychiatrist for over 20 years. She is a highly skilled practitioner with extensive experience of the assessment and management of a wide range of clinical presentations, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
She is committed to providing evidence-based care of the highest quality, and feels privileged to be able to support families and young people at their time of need.
Position at Priory
Dr Holsgrove has worked as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist within the NHS since 2013. She has been the lead consultant at South Manchester child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) for the last 5 years, and is the Royal College tutor for CAMHS at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
She is delighted to have the opportunity to practise as a visiting consultant at Priory Hospital Altrincham.
Training
Dr Holsgrove obtained her medical degree at the University of Manchester and trained on the North West Psychiatry scheme.
She is an experienced clinical and educational supervisor and has additional responsibilities for ensuring high standards of education for trainees in child psychiatry.
Research interests
Dr Holsgrove was the first trainee nationally to be awarded a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellowship in Child Psychiatry, a highly competitive clinical training post for those with outstanding academic potential.
She has published numerous research papers within the field of child and adolescent psychiatry and her work has been presented nationally and internationally.
