About

Dr Moghul has been a visiting consultant with admitting rights at Priory since 2014. Additionally, he continues clinical practice in the NHS as a consultant psychiatrist at Southampton General Hospital, which means he sees a large number of patients and keeps up-to-date with training, clinical guidelines and appraisal. Dr Moghul hopes this means that any treatment he recommends will be reasonable, sensible and based on decades of clinical experience treating people.

Dr Moghul provides outpatient clinics in a range of areas including Southampton, Chandlers Ford and Bournemouth. Appointment slots are available for both day time and evening.

In addition to his ongoing clinical practice, Dr Moghul is also on the Board of Examiners for the Royal College of Psychiatrists and examines other doctors’ clinical standards for the General Medical Council (GMC).

Training

Dr Moghul graduated from The University of Southampton Medical School in 1994 with a Bachelor of Medicine degree (BM). He also obtained a Master’s degree (MSc) in Psychiatric Research at University College London in the same year.

Dr Moghul was first appointed as a consultant psychiatrist in 2003 and is on the Specialist Register.

As a married father of three, I hope I can bring a sense of humour and perspective to life’s problems as sometimes we all lose sight of this. Having begun my medical training in Southampton in 1989, I have lived and worked in the Hampshire and surrounding areas for a long time and have a good feel for the current issues and services in this area.
