Dr Suha Zahir Ahmed is a counselling psychologist with extensive experience in providing integrative therapeutic care. She holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of Wolverhampton and is trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), and the diagnosis of autism.
Dr Ahmed has worked within both inpatient and outpatient psychological services, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. She offers specialised support for a range of conditions, including trauma, stress, eating disorders and emotional difficulties. In addition to her clinical work, Dr Ahmed is passionate about training the next generation of psychologists and lectures at the University of Wolverhampton.
Position at Priory
Dr Ahmed has been working with Priory for the past 2 years. She started at Priory Hospital Woodbourne and is currently working at Priory Wellbeing Centre Birmingham, offering range of different psychological therapy and neurodevelopmental assessments.

Research Interests
As part of the doctoral thesis research, Dr Ahmed explored emotional eating and its management among middle-eastern females living in the UK: from exploration to culturally adapted intervention.
