About
Helen is a psychotherapist offering psychodynamic psychotherapy and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR). Helen works with clients presenting with low to high complexity concerns, exploring contributing conscious and unconscious dynamics. She has gained experience within a range of mental health settings, including NHS inpatient and outpatient services, an NHS trauma unit and private practice.
After an initial career in marketing, Helen's 18 years of experience in mental health started as a volunteer listener and suicide prevention adviser to schools and colleges for Samaritans. Qualifying as a mental health nurse led to her completing further extensive psychotherapy training within the NHS. Her further ongoing professional training includes breathwork training, focusing on advanced trauma-informed breathwork practice.
