About
I have 15 years’ experience working as a consultant psychiatrist in the South West of England. I believe in mental health care that recognises the need for talking, creative and medication-based treatments. I work alongside a team of therapists to provide holistic care, tailored for individual needs.
I have experience in later life psychiatry, including dementia, as well as learning disability psychiatry, including autism. I work also with people of working age, and a variety of difficulties. Conditions I have expertise in include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, health anxiety and eating disorders.
I have a particular interest in supporting people with a history of trauma and those who are on the autism spectrum.
I understand that many people are anxious about meeting with a psychiatrist, and will listen carefully to all of your concerns and put you at ease.
