Dr Greensides has extensive experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of adult mental health conditions. He has worked for over 20 years as an NHS consultant psychiatrist in London teaching hospitals, across both inpatient and outpatient settings. He continues to hold a part-time substantive post within the NHS, working with inpatients in a rehabilitation setting.
Dr Greensides is frequently instructed to provide psychiatric reports for medicolegal matters across various court settings, including civil, criminal, and family cases.
He adopts a biopsychosocial approach to his practice, believing that the key to effective treatment lies in a careful, gentle, and thorough consultation process. His ultimate aim is to achieve a shared understanding of the nature of the difficulties and, through this, develop an individually tailored treatment plan to promote and sustain recovery.
Dr Greensides has particular expertise in the assessment and management of acute mental health conditions, anxiety and mood disorders, treatment-resistant depression, bipolar affective illness, stress-related conditions, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality difficulties, and psychotic illnesses.
He is registered with all major insurance companies and also welcomes self-funding patients.

Research interests
- Dr Greensides has had a particular interest in medical education throughout his career, working with both undergraduates and postgraduates. For several years, he served as a medical student tutor and clinical assessment of skills and competencies (CASC) examiner for psychiatric trainees.
- He continues to supervise trainees at all levels, both as a clinical and educational supervisor, and remains involved in teaching medical students in his role at Priory.
