About
I have a background in working with people from various walks of life, needs and circumstances. I have had the pleasure of working with people, being there as they transformed their lives. Starting with the individual, from there we are able to explore your relationships, and how you can manage them in order to create a nurturing and healthy relationship with yourself and with others. During our sessions, we can discuss what you would like to share in our safe space, in the hopes that we can work together to empower you to take control of your life and situation, ultimately helping you feel better.
I am a registered British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) qualified integrative counsellor. I use a variety of approaches to best meet your needs. My training includes person centred therapy (PCT), humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic approaches. At the heart of my practice, is you and your needs. Together, we can achieve what you need from therapy. My background also includes special needs and nutrition.
I aim to provide an environment that is non-judgemental, accepting and safe – a haven for you to share whatever you wish to bring to our sessions. I view therapy as a process of revealing in order to heal. I hope by the end of our journey, we will have worked together in order for you to be able to be in a place of abundance.
I have over 10 years working with people that are autistic, supporting them through variety of mental health issues, relationships, transitional periods and understand themselves and the world around them. I have worked with individuals and families in achieving the individuals’ goals, and through an integrative approach, I am able to develop coping strategies as well creating an environment that is conducive for change.
My Masters is in special and inclusive education and I am an Autism Diagnostic Interview, Revised (ADI-R) qualified practitioner, which not only helps identifying areas of difference, whether it be social communication, imagination, sensory issues, behaviour, fixation/repetitive behaviour or relational awareness but also employ tools which allow the individuals to thrive.
