Natalie supports clients to find the meaning behind their distress and works from a place of curiosity and compassion to experiment with relating to oneself in new ways, and improve mood and behaviour.

Natalie uses cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT) and mindfulness to overcome a range of difficulties, including trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, low self-esteem, social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, agoraphobia, worry, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), sleep problems, health anxiety and mood difficulties in the context of long term health conditions.

Position at Priory

Natalie is an accredited CBT therapist registered with British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Membership number: 00001024379.

Natalie has been working in a variety of setting in NHS mental health services for the past 15 years. This included tertiary, secondary and primary care settings.

Natalie recently joined Priory and works as a CBT therapist in the Cedar therapy team. She offers one-to-one and group therapy.

Training

Natalie completed her CBT training at Kings College London, following 8 years working as a psychological wellbeing practitioner and receipt of a diploma from Essex University in Wellbeing, both of which contributed to her gaining accreditation.

During this time, Natalie also completed training in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) from the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and the teacher training programme of mindful self-compassion from the Centre for Mindful Self-Compassion.

Prior to this, Natalie completed a masters in Research Methods and Statistics in Psychology at Kingston University. She also has a diploma in Issues in Brain and Behaviour (Neuropsychology) and a BSc in Psychology from Leeds University.
