About
Neelam Gosai is an experienced integrative therapist, who is committed and adheres to the ethical framework. She is a valuable member of the therapy team at both Priory Hospital Barnt Green and Priory Hospital Woodbourne. In her role, she engages with clients in both group and one-to-one settings, focusing on the general psychiatric and addiction inpatient wards. Neelam's approach is rooted in humanistic therapy, where she explores her clients' present, past, and future to help them achieve their full potential, offering honesty, transparency, and empathy throughout the process.
As a qualified yoga instructor, Neelam incorporates elements of somatic therapy into her practice. This involves addressing emotional distress, psychoeducation, guiding clients through mindfulness/relaxation exercises to help regulate the nervous system, and fostering self-compassion. Additionally, she integrates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques to examine and challenge unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviors, supporting clients in working toward their personal goals.
