About
Nicola began her career in 2011 as an in-house GP surgery therapist. She has extensive experience of working in primary care, private practice and the charity sector as a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Nicola works from an integrative stance with the person centred framework at the core, which underpins a therapy model designed to meet the individual needs of the client. She believes in providing a safe and professional service, operating from an inclusive value base that promotes change and recovery, whilst recognising and respecting diversity. Nicola’s dedication and commitment to supporting clients is built on practising a good working alliance and developing the therapeutic relationship as a proactive agent in the process for effective therapy to take place. Nicola’s experience is varied, working with adults and young people presenting with a wide range of common and more complex mental health issues.
Position at Priory
Nicola works full time as an addiction therapist with private inpatients on the addiction treatment programme at Priory Hospital Woodbourne, where she engages with one-to-one therapy and group sessions with her clients.
