About
Olivia is a therapist offering support via cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), to people experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Position at Priory
Olivia is a CBT therapist on Dunham Ward general therapy programme. Olivia has worked at Priory since 2021 and has previously worked across all three inpatient wards. As a CBT therapist, Olivia supports inpatients during their admission to the general therapy programme in assessments, providing one-to-one support, facilitating CBT essential skills and CBT-informed stress management group therapy and incorporating mindfulness and relaxation to assist in wellbeing.
Training
Olivia graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with an undergraduate degree BSc psychology and has since obtained a Masters degree in MSc psychological wellbeing in clinical practice.
Olivia continues to work towards a postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural psychotherapies at the University of Bolton.
Research interests
As part of her undergraduate degree, Olivia completed research into the influence of social media on male’s body image and self-esteem. Furthermore, as part of her Masters degree, Olivia completed research into the 2020 lockdown and its impact on autistic people.
