Professor Owen Bowden-Jones is a consultant psychiatrist with nearly 30 years’ experience in general psychiatry and substance use problems, in both the NHS and private practice. Owen has established a number of award-winning specialist clinical services and international clinical guidance and has been awarded national clinical excellence and impact awards.
He is an honorary professor at University College London and holds a number of national roles including president of the Society for the Study of Addiction, chair of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, special adviser to Universities UK Drug Taskforce and a policy fellow at the Centre for Science and Policy at the University of Cambridge. He has advised the United Nations and European Union and published an award-winning book for parents on how to talk to your child about drugs.
