About

I am a qualified drama therapist who has a distinction level master of arts in drama therapy. I hold the creative therapeutic relationship at the heart of my work and recognise this as the ‘secure base’ from which there is the possibility to explore new ways of being. I utilise a wide range of dramatic, projective and playful techniques to support patients in exploring aspects of themselves and the potential for psychological, emotional and social change.

As a drama therapist, I value the body as a vital tool of communication and understand how the embodied sense of self is sometimes ‘without words’. The opportunity to work indirectly and non-verbally in drama therapy means it is a highly inclusive form of therapy which may be particularly helpful for people who find it limiting or challenging to rely on talk as the primary method of communication.
