About
Rachel is an integrative therapist at Priory Wellbeing Centre Southampton, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She works within a humanistic approach based on transactional analysis, and finds that by exploring the past, clients can recognise any road blocks in their present, which can be released or updated to enable growth and self-empowerment for their future.
Rachel works with clients (16+) who present a range of different issues, including low mood, anxiety, depression and abuse. Rachel uses different techniques depending on the person, with the belief that everyone is unique. Her principle is based around working together collaboratively to build the client’s resilience, encourage their self-awareness, and enable them to self-empower.
As well as working at Priory Wellbeing Centre Southampton, Rachel also co-facilitates a support group in a local abuse organisation, for people exploring safer relationships after abuse. She uses therapeutic tools and psychoeducation in all of her work.
Training
Rachel achieved a Foundation Degree in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis, as well as a Transactional Analysis 101, and SEG Awards Level 2 and 3 in Counselling Skills.
