About
Sarah is an experienced integrative counsellor who works with individuals who are looking to make positive changes in their life. She supports clients by exploring difficult historical and current events that continue to impact the client in the present. This then allows the client to feel empowered to explore a way forward and make the changes they are seeking.
Sarah provides a confidential and non-judgemental space to enable clients to explore their issues safely and at their own pace. She believes that the therapeutic relationship between her and her clients is key to achieving the changes clients seek. Through the relationship, Sarah and her clients can; explore past issues that have continued to impact the client in the here and now, make sense of them and start effecting change.
Sarah will draw on a number of theories; person-centred being at the core. She will combine these different theories and techniques to support her clients on the issues that they bring to therapy. She has often been described by her clients as a ‘cheerleader’ for them, knowing that they are being supported during their therapy with her.
Sarah has over 11 years’ experience working with common mental health issues through her work in the NHS and voluntary sector. Sarah has extensive experience of working with low mood, depression, anxiety, loss, relationship and work related issues. She is also experienced in working with veterans and their families’ related issues.
