About
Sharon has over 10 years of experience in mental health, and has a degree in psychology. She has a specific interest in attachment disorder and has worked both in education and within an eating disorder service, applying her knowledge to support young people and their families.
Sharon has a diverse range of experience in treating clients with a variety of presentations, and she believes in the importance of developing trust and establishing a strong therapeutic relationship to bring about change. She feels privileged to have experienced the positive effect cognitive behavioural therapy can have on people’s lives.
Sharon has extensive experience and knowledge in supporting people on the autistic Spectrum and understands some of the challenges of this condition. Sharon is a fully qualified CBT therapist with further training in compassion focused therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and is a trained mindfulness practitioner with a specific interest in OCD and phobic disorders.
Position at Priory
Sharon is a fully qualified BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, and joined Priory in March 2022. Sharon is currently part of Priory’s DBT team and facilitates delivery of the DBT outpatient programme.

Research Interests
Sharon’s research area of interest is attachment, autism and the application of DBT to different mental health presentations.
