About
Hi there, my name is Susan,
I have always been passionate and dedicated to helping people with mental health difficulties and this is something I have over 20 years’ experience of. I also have experience of working within a variety of settings within the mental health sector.
I am a fully qualified cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) therapist and a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I am dedicated to helping people achieve their optimum mental health and in helping people find ways to live a more fulfilling life.
I work with adults and teenagers and treat a variety of conditions, such as anxiety disorders, including generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), health anxiety, social anxiety and panic disorder, low mood, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), low self-esteem and I specialise in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
I offer a warm, genuine and non-judgemental service in a completely safe space. Therapy can seem like a daunting and frightening experience for some. It needn’t be, as you’ll never have to talk about anything you don’t want to and you’ll always be in control of the process. My goal is for you to feel as comfortable as possible when opening up. Together, we will work towards meeting your goals and moving you towards where you want to be.
