Position at Priory
Vanessa Phillip is an experienced psychodynamic therapist and deputy clinical lead on the general psychiatry team. She leads and co-facilitates a wide range of adult group therapies, and provides intensive one-to-one therapy for acute inpatients and outpatients, in both short-term and long-term capacities.
With half a decade of clinical experience, Vanessa is a central figure in the psychodynamic therapy team. She is dedicated in her work helping people with complex emotional problems and who present with a wide range of mental health conditions. She has particular expertise supporting people who had difficult childhoods, as well as people who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, bereavement, identity, psychosis, bipolar disorder and personality disorders.
Training
Vanessa received core psychotherapy training at Enfield Counselling Psychotherapy service, accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), the UK’s leading professional association and accredited public register for psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
She is a registered member of the BPC and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), adhering to their ethical and clinical guidelines.
Vanessa has also completed more specialist training in group analysis with Group Analysis South West (GASW).
