About
Vela Robinson provides a safe, non-judgemental space where adults can work through issues related to trauma, self-esteem and meaning. Through their work together, Vela supports individuals to reach a healthier and more integrated place, where they can move forwards with their lives.
Vela has specialist training and experience in the areas of trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), domestic abuse, and rape and sexual violence. Vela is also experienced in working with bereavement, relationship and work issues and working with individuals who have a personality disorder diagnosis.
Vela regards the therapeutic relationship as key to successful healing and working through emotional distress. Her holistic and intuitive approach supports clients to feel seen and heard and contributes to very good clinical outcomes.
Within the frame of this relationship, Vela draws on a number of modalities in her work. These include compassion focused therapy (CFT), internal family systems, attachment based therapy and solution focused therapy. As each individual client is so different, Vela is aware that what they need will be unique, and we will develop a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to them.
