Located in Surrey, Life Works is a renowned private treatment centre, providing high quality, specialist support for a range of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder (BED) and other specified feeding or eating disorders (OSFED).
Set within a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian manor house, Life Works offers the perfect environment in which to receive the best possible treatment for an eating disorder and take steps towards recovery. As well as expert residential eating disorder treatment, we are also able to offer outpatient and day care support at Life Works.

Our approach to treatment
Every patient will be under the care of a highly qualified multidisciplinary team, with extensive experience in eating disorders. Our treatment centres are able to offer a range of treatment options, all of which are individually tailored to our clients’ unique needs and requirements. These include:
- Evidence-based eating disorder interventions, delivered in a number of different formats including 1:1 therapy, group therapy and family therapy
- A range of therapeutic approaches that are specific to eating disorder treatment including MANTRA, body image/acceptance groups, drama and movement groups, and meal/post-meal support
- Other evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) informed groups, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) informed groups and mindfulness
- Practical dietetic techniques, including personalised meal plans, weekly shopping, and cooking workshops
- All treatment delivered by our highly qualified multidisciplinary teams, consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, nutritionists, dietitians and other eating disorder specialists

About Life Works
Life Works is a world class eating disorder service based in Surrey.
Our residential eating disorder treatment programme usually lasts for between 28 and 42 days, although this can be longer if needed. We deliver therapy in various formats, including individual, group and family therapy. Other therapeutic interventions include CBT informed groups, DBT informed groups, art informed therapy and mindfulness.
If you’ve already undertaken inpatient treatment, our day care and outpatient programmes are a valuable step-down option for ongoing support. In other cases, they can also serve as an entry point to more intensive treatment.
