Located in the borough of Richmond, South West London, Priory Hospital Roehampton offers expert inpatient care for children and adolescents facing mental health challenges. Our dedicated young people's mental health service supports up to 16 young people, across 2 wards: Richmond Court and Kingston Court.

Our specialist provision delivers evidence-based treatment for 12 to 17-year-olds in a nurturing, age-appropriate environment. Situated in a newly refurbished area of the hospital, Richmond Court and Kingston Court offer single-occupancy en-suite bedrooms, along with welcoming and comfortable living areas designed to promote recovery and well-being.

  • Support provided by a specialist team of experts, led by renowned consultant psychiatrists
  • A range of appropriate therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and coping skills workshops, tailored to each young person we support

Our young people's mental health inpatient service in London has been specifically designed for young people who may be showing symptoms of mental health difficulties such as:

Education provision

As well as the therapeutic element of treatment, our young people are also provided with on-site school facilities. Supportive teachers ensure ongoing access to education, helping those we support to build their confidence within small supported groups.

  • Our education provision is Ofsted-registered and approved
  • Each young person receives bespoke, 1:1 tutoring if required
  • Personal development sessions, which may focus on career advice, or social and emotional skills, are incorporated into schooling through group sessions
