About this location
Bentons Lane is a supported living service, offering support for five people with a learning disability and those with mental health needs. We can also support people who have diabetes.
We are situated on a residential street within Cannock, a town in the county of Staffordshire. The property, which forms part of Priory Supported Living West Midlands, falls within the Staffordshire local authority area, and is managed by the housing provider Accord.
Our specialist support promotes independence and enables people to live happy and fulfilling lives, as part of their local community. We encourage our tenants to do as much as they can for themselves, in line with their strengths and aspirations.

Our approach to support
Everyone who lives at Benton's Lane has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members, and professionals.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as personal care, taking medication, maintaining a tenancy, managing finances, maintaining a relationship with family and friends, looking after their mental and physical wellbeing, booking and attending health appointments, and general household tasks such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning and laundry.
In addition, our team receives specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual we support. This includes diabetes management training.
Activities
Everyone who lives at Benton's Lane is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
We also support our tenants to attend community and leisure activities, in line with their interests, such as:
- Swimming
- Theatre trips
- Holidays
- Day trips
