About this location
Charolais Crescent is a supported living service, offering support for four adults with a learning disability and those with mental health needs. We can also support people who have epilepsy.
We are situated on a residential estate in Stoke-on-Trent. The property, which forms part of Priory Supported Living West Midlands, is managed by Inclusion Housing, the housing provider.
We support our tenants to lead healthy and happy lives by working with local healthcare professionals. We encourage tenants to do as much as they can for themselves, and support them to be a part of the local community. We also work to identify our tenants’ aspirations and strengths and support them to be as independent as possible.

Our approach to support
Everyone who lives at Charolais Crescent has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members, and professionals.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as maintaining a tenancy, personal care, food preparation and cooking, cleaning, laundry, managing finances, medication, independent living skills, maintaining relationships with family and friends, maintaining mental and physical health, and support with work placements.
In addition, our team receives specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual we support. This includes:
- Epilepsy training
- Diabetes management training
- Dysphasia training
Activities
Everyone who lives at Charolais Crescent is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
We support our tenants to pursue community and leisure activities that they are interested in, such as:
- Special Olympics
- Theatre trips
- Disco evenings
- Holidays
- Weekends away
