About this location
Dymchurch Road is a supported living service, offering support for 10 people over the age of 18, who are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability. We are part of Priory Supported Living Kent.

Our approach to support
Everybody who lives at Dymchurch Road has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members and professionals.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as maintaining a tenancy, personal care, maintaining relationships with family and friends, using public transport, medication management, and support with household tasks such as budgeting, shopping and cleaning.
Our support approaches at Dymchurch Road include positive behaviour support (PBS) and we can also offer outreach packages. In addition, our team receive specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual. This includes specialist training in Prader-Willi syndrome, speech and language, and modified diets.
Activities
Tenants at Dymchurch Road are supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within the home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
This also includes:
- Visits to a local day centre
- Community activities such as bingo
- Social events

Comments from our residents and their family and friends
I am happy living here. I like the people I live with and the staff are really kind. I like to go out and staff help me with this as I can get upset if there are too many people around when I’m out
