About this location

Kingfisher Rise is a supported living service which supports five people with mental health needs. Our goal is to support our tenants to be as independent as possible.

The home is situated in a cul-de-sac, just off a main road in Sutton-on-Hull, a suburb of the city of Hull. It is located three miles north-east of the city centre and has its own community with facilities nearby. The home, which forms part of Priory Supported Living Hull and East Riding, falls within the Hull City Council local authority area and is managed by Inclusion Housing, a housing provider.

At Kingfisher Rise we are committed to reflecting the guidance of The Reach Standards in everything we do. This means we work with our tenants to ensure they receive the right support to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

About our service

Our facilities and environment

Kingfisher Rise is a two-storey property, which is made up of five self-contained apartments and a staff office at the front of the property. The service also has a communal garden.

Our flats

All of our flats are comfortable, welcoming and can be personalised to individual tastes. Our flats have their own bathroom with a washing hand-basin and shower. Our ground floor flats can support tenants with mobility needs.

Parking

There is parking available at the side of the property.

Our approach to support

Everybody who lives at Kingfisher Rise has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members and professionals.

We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as maintaining a tenancy, personal care, and support with household tasks such as budgeting, shopping and domestic tasks.

Activities

Everyone who lives at Kingfisher Rise is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.

We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.

Pathways

Through our network of healthcare, residential and supported living facilities, we provide unique care pathways which enable the people we support to progress towards greater independence. Every individual we support is provided with a bespoke pathway plan, tailored according to their individual needs. We aim to ensure that each person is supported to live a fulfilling and active life in the community.
