About our service
Our facilities and environment
Linegate is set within two separate buildings, which are next door to each other. One is a semi-detached house, with four self-contained flats. The adjacent property has three apartments and a staff hub. Communal areas include:
- A summer house
- Garden
We also have assistive technology within the home, such as a MyQoL system fitted throughout the property which includes autism sensory projectors and lighting, noise sensors and fall sensors. One apartment has adjustable kitchen worktops and a specialist toilet.
Our flats
All of our flats are comfortable, welcoming and can be personalised to individual tastes. All of the flats have their own bathrooms, containing either a shower or a bath. Two of the apartments have wheelchair access for tenants with mobility needs.
Parking
Parking is available at the front of the property and down the side streets.
Our approach to support
Everybody who lives at Linegate has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members and professionals.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as maintaining a tenancy, personal care, and support with household tasks such as budgeting, shopping and domestic tasks.
Our support approaches at Linegate include positive behaviour support (PBS) and we can also offer specialist support for those with diabetes. In addition, our team receive specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual we support. This includes:
- Falls prevention training
- Diabetic management training
- Cerebral palsy awareness training
Activities
Everyone who lives at Linegate is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
Pathways
Through our network of healthcare, residential and supported living facilities, we provide unique care pathways which enable the people we support to progress towards greater independence. Every individual we support is provided with a bespoke pathway plan, tailored according to their individual needs. We aim to ensure that each person is supported to live a fulfilling and active life in the community. Linegate has been designed to support individuals stepping down from nearby Priory Hospital Market Weighton, as well as other hospital settings.
A message from our site leader
We support people to move from hospital to living in their own home in the community. We have had a great deal of success and our tenants are enjoying a good quality of life in the local community.

Comments from our residents and their family and friends
I really enjoy the freedom of being here, especially when eating meals. I can cook what I want and eat what I want, when I want. I can travel out to different places on my own independently or with staff. I’m a lot happier now I live here.
