About this location
Ryelands Crescent is a supported living service, providing specialist support for seven people who are are on the autism spectrum or have a learning disability, who may also have physical health needs.
We are located in Preston, in Lancashire. The property, which forms part of Priory Supported Living Lancashire, falls within the Lancashire County Council local authority area and is managed by the Hilldale housing provider. Ryelands Crescent is located down a quiet private lane on a housing estate, on the outskirts of the city of Preston.

About our service
Our facilities and environment
Ryelands Crescent is a purpose-built bungalow, divided into two self-contained apartments. Both apartments have their own bathroom and a garden, with a staff hub located upstairs.
We also have assistive technology within the home, such as the MyQoL System fitted throughout the property, which includes autism sensory projectors and lighting, noise sensors and fall sensors. One of our flats also has robust, low arousal fittings.
Our flats
Both of our flats are comfortable, welcoming and can be personalised to individual tastes. Our flats have:
- Their own gardens
- Wheelchair access
- En-suite facilities, containing a wet room or a shower
Parking
We offer free on-site parking for visitors on our large driveway at the front of the property.
Our approach to support
Everybody who lives at Ryelands Crescent has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members and professionals.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as maintaining a tenancy, personal care, and support with household tasks such as budgeting, shopping and domestic tasks.
In addition, our team receive specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual we support. This includes:
- Positive behaviour support (PBS) training
- Autism training
- Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) training
Activities
Everyone who lives at Ryelands Crescent is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them. We assist tenants to access social activities, shopping, holidays and day trips, and support them with all their community interest and hobbies.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
Pathways
Through our network of healthcare, residential and supported living facilities, we provide unique care pathways which enable the people we support to progress towards greater independence. Every individual we support is provided with a bespoke pathway plan, tailored according to their individual needs. We aim to ensure that each person is supported to live a fulfilling and active life in the community.
