About this location
Thistle Close is a supported living service which provides support to three people with mental health needs.
We are situated on a quiet residential estate in St Peter’s in Worcester, and are part of Priory Supported Living The Shires. The property falls within the Worcester County Council local authority area, and is managed by the housing provider, Inclusion Housing.
Our specialist support is aimed at supporting people to go out in the community and become more independent. At Thistle Close, we are committed to reflecting the guidance of The Reach Standards in everything we do. This means we work with our tenants to ensure they receive the right support to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Our approach to support
Everyone who lives at Thistle Close has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members, and professionals.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as daily living skills, medication, attending medical appointments, going out in the community and tenancy support.
Activities
Everyone who lives at Thistle Close is supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them. This includes any leisure and social activities they want to be involved in.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
Pathways
Through our network of healthcare, residential and supported living facilities, we provide unique care pathways which enable the people we support to progress towards greater independence. Every individual we support is provided with a bespoke pathway plan, tailored according to their individual needs. We aim to ensure that each person is supported to live a fulfilling and active life in the community.
A message from our site leader
I feel proud to see the mental health of our tenants becoming more stable, as they go out in the community. The social interactions have a positive impact on their mental wellbeing.
