About this location
Wellington Road is a supported living service, offering support to six adults on the autism spectrum, individuals with a learning disability, and those with mental health needs.
We are located in Dudley, a market town in the West Midlands, six miles south-east of Wolverhampton. The property, which forms part of Priory Supported Living West Midlands, falls within the Dudley local authority area, and is managed by Inclusion Housing, the housing provider. The home is situated on a bustling road near the town centre.
At Wellington Road, we are committed to reflecting the guidance of The Reach Standards in everything we do. This means we work with our tenants to ensure they receive the right support to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

All flats have a washing machine, fridge and cooker provided by the landlord, but are otherwise unfurnished.

Our approach to support
Everybody who lives at Wellington Road has their own person-centred support plan, which is co-produced with input from the individual, their family members, and professionals. We focus on identifying strengths and aspirations of our tenants and support them with this by developing outcome forecast plans.
We aim to enable each tenant to make their own choices about the support they receive. This may include support in a number of areas, such as upkeep of personal care, managing medication, food preparation and cooking, cleaning and laundry, managing finances including budgeting and debt management, how to maintain a tenancy, holding down relationships with family and friends, support with a healthy diet and exercise, and booking and attending health appointments.
In addition, our team receive specialist staff training, bespoke to the needs of each individual we support. This includes epilepsy awareness training.
Activities
Tenants at Wellington Road are supported to pursue their own interests and hobbies, both in and outside the home, and are encouraged to take part in activities which are meaningful and fulfilling to them.
We focus on supporting tenants to grow their independence. For some people, this may mean developing their daily living skills within their home. For others, this could be accessing work or educational opportunities in the local community.
Community and leisure activities can include:
- Attending social clubs
- Going to the cinema, the gym, bowling or swimming
- Visiting the local animal centre
- Making use of nearby sensory centres
