Priory offers residential, nursing and dementia care to older people, in safe and homely environments. Our dedicated and trained staff teams provide the highest standards of care, comfort and support to enhance residents' quality of life.

Through a person-centred approach to care, we ensure that we meet the social, physical and emotional needs of our residents. We actively engage with the people we support and their relatives, encouraging regular feedback and making sure all of our residents are as independent, comfortable and happy as possible at each of our homes.

Our specialist care services

We understand that choosing the right care is an extremely important decision, and we're here to help in any way we can. Our specialist care services for older people include:

Residential care services

The residential care services we provide cater for people needing assisted living and support with daily activities and tasks of everyday life. Our trained and dedicated carers are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to meet the individual needs of our residents. They ensure the social, physical and emotional requirements of residents are met through a person-centred approach to care.

Nursing care services

Our nursing care homes offer peace of mind through the specialist support delivered by a combination of registered nurses and trained carers, who provide medical input 24 hours a day in a comfortable, friendly and safe environment. We also actively encourage residents, their families and carers to be involved in the care planning and planned daily activities to ensure each person's particular needs and likes are met.

Dementia support

Our dementia service has been developed and adapted to meet the needs of residents with dementia and we offer as much independence and stimulation for dementia residents as possible, incorporating appropriate environmental aspects such as furniture, signage and décor to help people maintain their independence and dignity.

Respite care homes and services

Our short-term care services allow carers the time to recharge their batteries, while offering their loved ones a temporary retreat with the peace of mind of 24-hour care.

Palliative care services

Within our palliative care service, our experienced staff team works closely with residents, friends and families, carers, GPs and community nurses. Together, we focus on wellbeing while controlling pain and other symptoms in a comfortable and comforting environment.

Mental health support

Some of our residential and nursing homes provide services for people with mental health problems, including people with severe and enduring mental illness that have physical, psychological and social needs.

Working in partnership

We work in partnership with local authorities and health associations to provide specialist short and long-term services, tailored to meet the needs of our residents. Our aim is to enhance quality of life by enabling people in our care to make informed choices about their daily life. We actively engage with residents and relatives, encouraging regular feedback to ensure people in our care maximise their independence throughout their stay.

Person-centred care

We pride ourselves on offering the highest standards of person-centred care for older people, within safe, comfortable and homely environments. Our professional and friendly staff teams always put the residents at the centre of what they do and the care is tailored around the person’s needs - everything from their daily meals to the activities they enjoy.

The transition into a care home can be a daunting and unsettling process. Our aim is to minimise change for residents and care for them just as a loved one would. With an open-door policy, we always welcome relatives and friends to regularly visit the home.

Enhancing quality of life and wellbeing

Across all of our homes, we support people to make informed choices about their daily life. We actively engage with residents and relatives, as well as encourage regular feedback, to ensure people in our care maximise their wellbeing and independence throughout their stay.

Our dedicated staff teams include activities co-ordinators who are experienced in working with older people. In every home, individual activity schedules are developed and tailored to the personal lives and interests of our residents.

We also understand the importance of community involvement and we encourage residents to remain active members of the local communities. Churches, schools and other organisations are regularly invited into our homes to provide activities for residents. The homes also arrange day trips, often hold events, and welcome the local community to open days, garden parties and festivities.

Every aspect of our homes contribute to the quality of daily life for residents, from the care provided to the layout and facilities. This includes:

I have been overwhelmed by the standard of care, along with everything else at this home. I never expected nursing homes to be like this. I've been impressed.
