About
Ellie Roberts joined Priory in September 2017 as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. She has been a consultant and lead psychoanalytic psychotherapist in the NHS for over 18 years, working in outpatient and inpatient settings. She has extensive experience in running groups and consulting to organisations in the NHS, and in the education and healthcare fields.
As well as her clinical responsibilities, she teaches on the Tavistock and Portman Trust training programme and teaches and supervises clinical practice in Bologna. She also runs a private practice for intensive psychoanalysis
Training
Ellie Roberts is a trained psychoanalytic psychotherapist for adults, adolescents and children. She has had training in working with mothers and infants, and other dyadic work. She is a qualified supervisor and a training analyst for the Tavistock and Portman Trust. She runs groups and is trained in the lighthouse method and has trained in narrative story stem work.
Research interests
Ellie Roberts has carried out research into the provision of mental health services for mothers and infants and is presently involved in research into transgender issues.
